Are you a campfire sort of person? If so, do you prefer that roasted marshmallow that is charred to a blackened crisp where you can pull off the outer shell only to find a teeny, little squish inside?
Or do you prefer to just slightly roast your marshmallow to a tender softness with just a hint of caramel and reddish color that expands to a puffy, delectable, smooshy, sweet mallow?
If you are the latter, meet Stan the Man! Stanly is our gorgeous puffy slightly toasted marshmallow with lots of squish and just delicious sweetness.
Stanley is an easy-peasy flame point Himalayan who is looking for a totally chill human and relaxing home. Give him a tall cat tree, a couple of toys, ample food and a clean litterbox or two and he will be a perfect companion.
Stanley came to rescue having grown up in an expanding and active family. Despite being incredibly loved, he did not adapt as well as hoped when the family grew, and his kitty companion found him to be the play toy. The hardest and most loving thing for him was for his family to help him find an environment where he would thrive and be happy.
So, here he is! Stan has enjoyed the single life in his foster space and seems blissfully content. He enjoys his human company and calls for his foster mom every day. He purrs and purrs and purrs. Stan enjoys being combed…and purrs. He relaxes during eye cleaning…and purrs. He happily munches on breakfast…and purrs.
A typical Himalayan Stan does best with daily eye cleaning. Eye Envy is the cleaner of choice along with a cotton make-up round. He has deep crevices along his nose, so the soothing coolness of the liquid on the soft pad just left to loosen the debris keeps everything clean and healthy. Boy, do those blue eyes pop after cleaning too! (And, yes, he purrs and just sits for the morning ritual!) His coat is thick but not horribly cottony. It is easily kept mat free with a quick combing a couple of times a week. We recommend a Chris Christensen butter comb (never a brush) to keep him slick and handsome. He purrs even when you comb his belly. Cutting nails is easy.
Stanley would be an outstanding companion for a homebody, a single person, a retiree or just about anyone who loves the thought of sharing a routine day with another loving being. Our preference is that he enjoys the life of a single pet although one other who is non-demanding and co-exists with him would be fine. No kids please. An older teen is okay but littles who do what littles do is too much.
Stanley enjoys kibble. So far, we have not found a wet food he will try so Nutro, ProPlan and Purina One have been the brands of choice for him. He has two open, litterboxes with clumping unscented litter and has been great with them.
