Moon is an adorable little one who thrives on attention and gentle affection. She is a long-haired Selkirk that has a soft and full coat that is more wavy than curly. Her cream and white patches are clean and crisp; her hazel eyes make for a perfect color palette. Her chubby belly feels like a squishy marshmallow and is a perfect lap warmer.

Moon will start out a bit shy and will likely watch her new person from a safe hiding place but in no time at all is out and about quickly throwing herself over for all the belly rubs. Her motor runs non-stop. The more attention she gets, the more fuel she has for her motor.

The Selkirk is a rarer breed in rescue and is fun to learn about. Like many Moon has a slight flatter face. Her eyes do occasionally weep and given her white fur need regular cleaning. Her ears can get waxy and occasional cleaning is helpful. Her coat is nearly maintenance free.

Moon has lived with many cats and seems to get along with all of them. She loves a good cat tree and an active yard to watch from a window. She can be playful but is also happy to settle in near her people. She has a little bit of spice during petting and likes to nibble. Teenagers who can read the signs would be absolutely fine. Young children would not be a good fit. An adult household, even as a single cat would be a happy ending. Although she has not lived with any, a respectful dog would likely be fine.

Moon is schedule fed twice per day getting a can of Fussie Cat with each meal and a mix of Nutro and ProPlan kibble for snacking. She has her choice of multiple litterboxes with unscented clumping litter that are scooped several times per day.
