GETTING TO KNOW ME

Blu is a gorgeous boy but he is so much more complex than that! Blu joined us through our partnership with CFA Breed Rescue Program. Before joining PurrHarmony, he was a stud male and had never learned how to speak cat, dog or human very well. It’s taken time for us to understand him and for him to start understanding humans better. He is a BALL OF ENERGY, think bengal, husky or border collie busy energy. This boy uses a cat wheel like he’s training for competition and can even be heard in the foster room all day using it himself. He has no problem jumping 6 feet straight up onto a bookcase or cat tree. He is prey/toy driven, so no homes with parakeets, hamsters, guinea pigs or small animals, please.

Blu eats Honest Kitchen dehydrated food for breakfast and dinner and loves his stainless steel water fountain. He has great bathroom habits and uses a large hoodless litter box with unscented litter.

 
Blu will need a cat savvy home. He can be mouthy and will need human interactive play; another cat won’t do it nor will leaving him to play by himself. He is smart. He’d be fantastic at agility, clicker training or halter/leash walks. Kids would not be appropriate because he’s still learning how to read people along with what’s appropriate and not. When interacting with Blu, it’s positive reinforcement only! He works well with redirecting inappropriate behaviors like mouthiness. 
 

His eyes are easy to maintain as far as Persians go with daily wiping being no problem. At this point a sedated kitten cut a couple times a year would be advised while you work to build trust and learn his limits. Nails can be trimmed without much of an issue. He wants to be a snuggling lover boy but he times out quickly with overstimulation from petting. With the right family he will blossom into an even more amazing cat.

Adoption fee: $375.00.

PurrHarmony, Inc. does not transport or ship cats. We welcome long distance Adopters. Adopters must travel to the foster home or nearest airport (at the discretion of the foster parent).
