GETTING TO KNOW ME

Amber is a confident “purebred” domestic short hair. Yes, you read that right. Amber is not a purebred anything except great companion kitty. PurrHarmony was not about to leave this fantastic little girl behind when we took in a large group of purebred Donskoy cats. How did Amber wind up in a household of naked cats? Who knows? Not us, that is for sure, but we certainly could not reject her or pawn her off to someone else or send her off to a shelter.

It has been fun to see Amber adapt and mix in with others unlike her. She has proven a couple of things right off the bat. She is confident. She will fight for your lap. She is agile and quick. She LOVES to eat.

Make no mistake, Amber is a heat seeking missile for an empty lap. If you want to be kept warm and cozy this winter with a continuous purr as surround sound, Amber raises a paw in agreement. Oh, and you can expect that she will sneak a kiss or two in throughout the day. It is just her way of saying “I love you.”

Need a companion kitty but you only want one? She can handle being your one and only. What? Do you already have a couple of kitties? She can deal with that too if they are willing to share. Amber will stand up for herself and might get a little pushy with a shy kitty but with the others, she states her case with an air nip and then a quick grooming to show approval. Although we do not believe she has ever lived with a dog, she will adjust to a respectful canine. Respectful kids would be okay if they watch their food—she just may try and steal it.

Currently Amber is schedule fed twice a day enjoying meals of Honest Kitchen and Primal. She is great with her litterboxes that are filled with clumping unscented litter and scooped several times a day. Amber happily drinks from water fountains.

VETTING PROVIDED

To ensure ultimate health, Amber is spayed, rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, has tested negative for FELV/FIV, has had a full blood panel, a dental, has been dewormed and treated for parasites, and is microchipped.
