Fluffy. The Fluffmeister. The Fluffernutter. My little bowling ball. This is the list of nicknames that gets rattled off with every enthusiastic encounter with Fluffy here at her foster home. They come easy because Miss Fluff is so attentive and interactive with her people. She can barely wait for you to make eye contact with her beautiful, big, round, Amber-colored eyes and then answers with a trill or tiny meow. Fluffy is playful and excitable and will launch from her hind feet for a mere head pat or break into an elevator butt when stroked. She’s just so fun to be around, but occasionally, she can become overstimulated and things end on a swiping note. We prefer things don’t reach that point so we are looking for a calm and nurturing home vs a high energy home.

Fluff has a nice doll face that is maintenance free and we have established a morning routine of combing her luscious smokey coat with a greyhound comb. Her toes. Let’s talk about her toes. Fluffy was previously declawed and it is PurrHarmony’s policy to x-ray every declawed cat that walks through our doors. Based on x-rays, our veterinarian determined she would be a good candidate for declaw repair surgery to release her severely contracted toes. We did just that and she is oh so happy with her new straight tootsies! She loves to flex and spread her toes wide apart while making air biscuits.

Fluffy lived much of her life with other cats but that did not serve her well and she was at her breaking point when she found her way to PurrHarmony. It is finally her time to shine and she is happiest in her own space with her humans, without other cats or dogs. She loves to squeeze herself onto a chair with her foster mom and watch the nightly news. She’s also content perching on one of the many wall shelves for a snooze.

This sweet, sensitive soul would be the perfect fit for someone who is home frequently who wants a companion to discuss the weather, sports or the local news. Working from home would be great. A retired lifestyle would be okay too. Young children or an active household is not the place for her.

Fluffy currently enjoys her free choice kibble along with half a can of turkey wet food—blended smooth in a small food processor—for breakfast and dinner. She is perfect with her litter boxes that are large, open and maintained with unscented, scoopable, clumping litter.
