Belle is a gorgeous, blue-point mitted Ragdoll. She is extremely friendly and mellow. Belle would make a tremendous companion kitty as she is fairly quiet and low key, although she can be chatty especially when she’s hungry. She would love to have a human who is retired, works from home or is just a simple home body. Belle will want to hang out near you but isn’t often a lap cat. She is extremely friendly with guests and is just a laid back, sociable kitty. 

Belle has not lived with other animals for many, many years. She would relish being an only pet. Younger children would likely stress her out, so only children 12 years and older please. Belle would not enjoy being carried around and much prefers things on her terms. 

For a mature girl, Belle has had recent bloodwork and urinalysis which looked good. She also had a dental last year. She did suffer a small stroke in 2019 which left her with a slight head tilt but does not seem to affect her much other than she can be a bit clumsy at times. (The stroke was caused by a veterinary procedure using a tool no longer recommended for cats. There is no reason to believe she is likely to ever have another.) Belle is not much of a jumper so your counter tops likely won’t be a target for her. She much prefers to jump at shorter heights.  

Her declawed front paws give her no issues with mobility and do not seem to cause her any pain. We can play with her toes, and she isn’t hesitant to have us touch them. Belle lets us trim her back nails and brush her easily preferring shorter brushing sessions. Her coat is easy to maintain. 

Belle lightly grazes throughout the day on dry food but enjoys wet food twice daily with her added supplement. Belle has a history of constipation which is well-regulated with her getting some simple over the counter Miralax powder. She does great with two large open litter boxes and clumping clay litter. She does not do well with enclosed boxes and prefers unscented clay litter. She is not a fancy girl and prefers easy access to her boxes.
