GETTING TO KNOW ME
Blanca is an independent girl looking for a calm, cozy retirement home. She never asks for much – just some food and a comfy space to nap. Overall, Blanca would like a chill home with cat-savvy people over 12 years old. She would happily coexist with calm dogs and cats, but only those who respect her space (she may hiss/swat those who don’t mind her bubble.)
Blanca can be a bit of a wallflower, especially at first, but she’s happy seeing her people. She will often greet you with a “bark” of a meow and rub on your legs for food. She’s not a lap cat, but enjoys being around people, especially men! On occasion, she can be seen batting a small toy, but her favorite pastime is running around to chase the laser pointer! Blanca especially loves food and Churu lickable treats!
Like most older ladies, Blanca can be somewhat opinionated and is not the biggest fan of things that aren’t on her terms. Her caregivers have been pairing things she isn’t fond of, such as getting her eyes cleaned daily (the plight of a white cat) with her favorite snacks. She does quite a bit of shedding her soft, dense coat, but enjoys a rubber-fingered brush that feels like a person petting her.
On cushy beds, Blanca will happily make biscuits while she does the loudest purrs. When she sleeps, she does snore a bit, but her breathing has otherwise been fine while in our care. Blanca has perfect litterbox usage and her full blood work shows she’s a healthy girl! She had to have a few teeth removed with her dental cleaning, but she still happily eats any dry, canned, or freeze-dried food her caregivers have offered her.
Fostered in Columbia, MO. Adoption Fee: $250.
PurrHarmony does not transport or ship cats. New owners must pick up the new family member in person. When convenient, a foster parent may agree to meet the adopter at an airport convenient to the foster home.
