OHHHHHH!!!!! SOOOOO tiny and fluffy!!!!!!!!

We are pleased to present Julie, a 7-year-old, petite 5lb, Blue Cream Point Himalayan. Julie has yet to meet a wand, lure, or red dot that she can resist and will play until your arm tires out. Once she gets her play time in, she’ll happily settle on her person’s bed for a good snooze. Occasionally she will lay curled next to her person and allow for a gentle belly pat or two. She sometimes calls out in a grumpy, old lady voice when she thinks she’s due some attention.

Julie joined PurrHarmony with another kitty named Krystal Rubi through our partnership with the CFA Breed Rescue Program. Their nicknames are Beezus and Ramona, the sisters from the Judy Blume books, with Julie being Ramona. No matter how often she’s brushed, and her face wiped, she always has a disheveled look like she’s spent an hour on tumble in the dryer. She’s spunky and thunders around her foster room like a rhinoceros despite her tiny frame, snorting and sliding across the wood floors. She loves to drink from her water fountain and drenches her forehead in the process every. single. time! So much so that you can squeeze drops out of her fur. The two girls are not bonded but if you’re looking for a pair, they’d be great.

Julie has her claws and is a perfect lady with her litter box habits. Julie does get goopy eyes that require daily wiping and inexpensive moisture gel. Getting her nose at the same time is a good idea since it is tiny, sometimes snotty and she bathes her face in the water. She tolerates this all quite well if you’re gentle and quick. Julie has had a thorough veterinary exam, spay, tested negative for felv/fiv, is fully vaccinated, had stenotic nares surgery and a dental.

She’s currently growing out of an in-home haircut. It is suggested Julie be kept clipped or her adopter will need to stay on top of brushing her (she’s squirmy and will allow approximately 2.75 brush strokes at a time) because her coat is cottony.

With a proper introduction, Julie should be fine with other laid-back cats and cat respectful dogs that won’t bully her because of her tiny stature. She will take a retaliatory swipe if swatted at but it doesn’t pack much of a punch. Julie is a great mix of playful, sweet, and curious. Small children wouldn’t be the best fit but families with cat savvy kids 10 years and older will be considered. Appropriate adjustment time is always encouraged and slow introductions with other pets is always a best practice.
